Program Structure and Goals
• Strengths-Based Approach: CORP focuses on reinforcing positive social bonds and ecological systems to reduce recidivism.
• Community Collaboration: CORP aims to engage various stakeholders, including juvenile probation, courts, schools, and community leaders, to create a support network for juvenile offenders and at-risk kids ages 9-24.
• Geographical Reach: The program will operate across Philadelphia, Delaware, Clinton, and Lycoming Counties.
Primary Goal:
To prevent recurring criminal behavior by strengthening juveniles’ attachment to their families, schools, and communities and by increasing their access to essential resources.
• Objectives:
• Reduce the rate of reoffending among juveniles.
• Strengthen family dynamics and communication.
• Improve access to education, employment, and social services.
• Develop social and cognitive skills to resist negative peer influence.
• Foster self-reliance through community resource education.
